Susan Minerva Weaver McAbee reminiscences : photocopy of typescript, 1925 Jan.

Chiefly McAbee's recollection of her journey westward from Missouri to Calif. in May 1853, with her husband, John. Along with them were two other teams led by John L. Crow and his father, Rankin. After reaching Calif. in late 1853, they eventually settled near Mendocino. She describes hardships of the journey, and details several encounters with Indians. Also, she describes her early life and members of her family, and that many of her siblings also travelled west.
